Formal Invitation

To the Annual Town of Ducan Society Ball

The invitation mailed to both Bill and Warren Vernon the year that Francis arrived. Warren invited Francis to join them, but Bill was not ready to have him socialize yet, considering he still could not see properly or interact well with strangers. Truthfully, Bill himself was not prepared to attend, as he would have to face the rest of the local scientific community that he had run away from after they had mocked his absurd scientific claims.

As an immediate (A.S.A.P.) R.S.V.P. was required, Warren took the liberty of returning his brother Bill's invitation for him, saying that both of them would attend, and adding Francis as Bill's plus one.
